I am brand new to this. I find a craving for something sweet after all the meat and veg’s. I am going to make the lemon drops as soon as my sugar sub gets here. This site looks great. Thanks

By far, your recipes are the best of any keto cookbook that I have found. In the last 2 weeks, I have made numerous dinners, cornbread, sides, and desserts and loved them all. Please keep them coming and I thank you for developing these wonderful dishes!

I haven’t even started day 1 yet. My doctor told me he wants me on a low carb diet to lose at least 20 lbs in 4 months with no more than 1500 calories a day. I was having a really hard time trying to figure out where to start and what to eat. While surfing for answers I found your site and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you.

I have always been frustrated, as I am new to cooking, because recipes never really came out right for me. These recipes have made it so much easier for me because they always come out delicious. Thank you so much! I especially love the instant pot recipes.

Once a recipe breaks so many ingredients I lose interest, usually. There’s a lot of good sounding food here, enough to sign up, definitely excited to see more to come. Thank you

Would love an instant-pot specific email list. You beef short ribs were one of the best meals I have ever had, including eating at restaurants. Would love to try more of those

Help. I did keto for two weeks lost about 10 lbs. Loved it. Then I started to get leg cramps Drank lots of water, took magnesium and potassium. It didn’t help. So, now I eat potatoes and bananas. Would like to continue with Keto but leg cramps are severe. Can you give me any advice? I would really appreciate it. Tks. can message me on FB. Thanks again.Esther

Hi Esther! Have you spoken with your doctor about this? Since I’m not a medical professional and can’t give medical advice, I’m wondering if someone who’s familiar with your specific background could help you out with this. You may find this page to be useful (http://peoplesrx.com/the-best-kind-of-magnesium-for-you/); it mentions the different types of magnesium and how it’s absorbed. Personally, I found that having leg cramps was resolved by varying the relative amounts of electrolytes, giving my body time to adjust to the new normal, and having enough variation in my diet.

Looking forward to some new recipes. I am super allergic to tree nuts & shellfish, which makes a lot of keto meals off-limits. But somehow, I persist. Bring me something good! 🙂

I will be starting Keto next week. Is there a list of allowed and not allowed foods to kind of simplify things?

Take a look at this list of low carb foods: https://www.savorytooth.com/low-carb-shopping-list/
You can bring it with you next time you’re grocery shopping to help you figure out what to buy.

Also, look at this meal planning page: https://www.savorytooth.com/keto-meal-plan/
It talks about do’s and don’ts for different meals of the day, so you can get a sense of what to eat.

Keto is not an easy diet to follow, and it’s more involved than just a list of “allowed” and “not allowed” foods. If you find that you’re not getting the results you want with your current strategy, you may need to track your daily intake of macronutrients (fat, protein, net carbs, etc.) to ensure that you’re eating the proper macros to put your body into ketosis.

I just now joined. Not on any spec. diet…just watching it, trying to be careful. I love home made soup, especially from home grown foods.
