During my first visit, I came for brunch with a group of friends and was seated in the lounge area. The chairs had no backrests and the table was quite low, which made it uncomfortable to eat. For my second visit, I came during lunch hours and was seated at a normal-height table and regular chairs. Service was excellent and attentive both times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-05.jpg\" alt=\"committee interior\" class=\"wp-image-23806\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-05.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-05-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the brunch visit, I ordered the Greek yogurt pancakes and the lamb kofta hash. The dish was suffocated by too many sunny-side eggs and accompanied by some bland pita slices. The portion size was very small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23767\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-768x769.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-320x320.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-01-500x500.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When I returned a few months later to try out their weekday lunch offerings, I ordered a chicken skepasti with Greek fries (lower dish in photo below) and bifteki with regular fries (upper dish in photo below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"1117\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-06.jpg\" alt=\"Sandwich plates with fries\" class=\"wp-image-23807\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-06.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-06-183x300.jpg 183w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-06-623x1024.jpg 623w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The chicken skepasti was a Greek pita club sandwich with gyro chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and kefalograviera cheese, conveniently sliced into 4 portions. The serving size was generous and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. My only complaint is that I prefer crisper bacon. The Greek fries were good, but the feta chunks were too large and would fall off the fries, so I ended up eating them separately, which defeats the purpose of having them mixed together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"578\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-07.jpg\" alt=\"chicken skepasti\" class=\"wp-image-23808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-07.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-07-300x255.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The bifteki contained spiced ground beef, spicy feta, red onions, and greek fries wrapped in a grilled pita. It sounded very promising, but its execution was lacking; there was way too much sauce, which overwhelmed the other flavors and dripped everywhere, making it difficult and messy to eat. The ground beef was reasonably tender. Given that fries are served both outside and within the pita, it seemed like the dish was 75% french fries, which was not what I expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-08.jpg\" alt=\"beef gyro sandwich\" class=\"wp-image-23809\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-08.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-08-300x298.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/committee-08-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, I think Committee is a gorgeous restaurant with great service and creative Mediterranean food, but fails on the execution of some of the dishes. Given that the food is hit-or-miss, I do not plan on returning a third time.
