The interior has a modern industrial design with high lofted ceilings and a large central bar. Table options include side-by-side tables seating 2-4 people each, a few booths, and some high-top seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-02.jpg\" alt=\"shybird interior\" class=\"wp-image-23905\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-02.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-02-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-02-500x375.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It was moderately busy on the day I was there, and loud enough that I found it difficult to hold a conversation. This place is fine for a quick casual meal or cocktails, but I wouldn&#8217;t come here for a quiet meal or a serious date. Depending on where you&#8217;re seated, there may be very little privacy given how close the tables are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-03.jpg\" alt=\"shybird interior\" class=\"wp-image-23906\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-03.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-03-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-03-500x375.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Brunch menu options are a bit limited, with only 5 different brunch plates offered. I opted for the chicken benedict, SB dunks, cinnamon bun, and rosemary and black pepper french fries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chicken benedict was the best-tasting one out of the four dishes. It came with a generous fried chicken portion, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, and a spicy pepper relish. It tasted great and wasn&#8217;t too messy to eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-04.jpg\" alt=\"eggs benedict\" class=\"wp-image-23907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-04.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-04-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-04-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-04-320x320.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-04-500x500.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The SB dunks are essentially buttermilk fried chicken bites with spices and herbs, which were decent and had a crisp exterior. The chicken wasn&#8217;t particularly tender or fresh tasting, and was average at best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-07.jpg\" alt=\"fried chicken bites\" class=\"wp-image-23910\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-07.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-07-300x266.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The french fries were flavored with rosemary and black pepper, and had good flavor and texture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"545\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-05.jpg\" alt=\"french fries\" class=\"wp-image-23908\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-05.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-05-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The cinnamon bun was very disappointing. It was advertised as &#8220;warm&#8221; but tasted like room temperature. It was a very basic cinnamon bun that you could get at any grocery store. Parts of the bun were a bit hard and chewy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"764\" src=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-06.jpg\" alt=\"cinnamon bun\" class=\"wp-image-23909\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-06.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.savorytooth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/shybird-06-267x300.jpg 267w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Service was mostly good. The staff member who took our order was aloof and surly, but all other staff were courteous and friendly, and the food arrived promptly. Note that there is a mandatory 4% kitchen appreciation fee added to all receipts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, I was not impressed by this place and I didn&#8217;t see anything on the menu to inspire me to visit again. When it comes to brunch, I&#8217;m looking for higher-quality dishes in a more comfortable atmosphere, and I didn&#8217;t find that at Shy Bird.
