Ranch Dressing

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley leaves (Note 1)
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Stir: Stir together all ingredients in mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Store: Pour dressing into lidded jar, and refrigerate until ready to use (Notes 2-3).

NOTES & TIPS

(1) Parsley. This can be substituted with chopped fresh dill or chives.
(2) Storage. The ranch dressing should last up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
(3) Uses. Use this ranch dressing to bring flavors up a notch in baked dinners like chicken bacon ranch casserole or tuna broccoli ranch casserole. Drizzle over salads like avocado bacon chicken salad, or use as a dressing for low carb coleslaw.
(4) Nutrition. With 95% of calories coming from fat and only 1 gram of total carbs per standard 2 tablespoon serving, this ranch dressing is ideal for keto or other low carb diets.
